There is no such thing as a "legit copy" of a Windows 10 installation disk or stick, since they are free to make, with the Windows creation tool. But you need a paid license key to install them.
This is not a monitor problem. Either the contents of the USB are not good (try to boot from it on another PC to see if it shows up to check that or make one yourself from https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows10) or something is wrong with the PSU or motherboard or CPU or RAM. Your task then is to find the faulty component or connection.
I’ve built my first ever PC, it was such a fun experience but now I’m regretting it. I had a friend get me a legit copy of Windows 10 for usb so I could boot from it. It would show the loading screen for a few seconds and I’ll loose signal to my monitor and then the bios “press x to go into boot menu” etc shows up and the process repeats again. I’ve been stuck with MSI support for days on end and because of where I live I can’t respond in time for them to respond quick enough so I get one “do this” thing and when I answer back with “it doesn’t work” pretty much I don’t get a response until I wake up again.
I’ve tried:
-Different monitor
-All USB ports
-Tried different output types (HDMI, DVI-D and VGA)
I hope I can get some quicker responses here! Thanks in advance.
