Resolved Question

First build, needs help

Jul 28, 2018 12:42AM PDT

Hello everyone, this is my first time building a game/work pc so any help will be appreciated!!! (PS: I use a 34" 1440P ultrawide)

i'll be starting my build in September, and I've finished my list, but I do have a few questions.

1. I'm getting a Ryzen 5 2600, whats the ram speed I should be looking at? Can I buy a lower speed ram and oc it?

2. Ram prices are stupid high, should I get a 8gb stick just to get through for now? If so, is it a good idea to get 2X4 or just 1X8?

3. Do i need more fans for the NZXT case?

4. Is my 520W power supply enough?

5. I see people installing drivers after installing windows, what are those?

Dont have to answer everything, thanks guys.

Ram speed

What you want is 2933.

Shop for a single rail psu.
What you picked is a dual rail.

If you go with 8GB of ram you want 2x4GB.

SSD and Hard Disk

It would be better if u get 2x4 RAM cuz the motherboard will can use 2 slots of RAM and will be more useful. In my opinion u can buy 1TB hard disk and e.g 240GB SSD where u can download the OS and someone other program and something like photos or other program which u don't use too much u can download them on the Hard Disk.
The price will be maximum 150$ but I don't know how many cost these items in your country.
SSD- 240GB M.2 2280 WD Green
Hard disk- 1TB 7200 rpm Seagate Barracuda Guardian
