The ethernet port for your unit is designed to use Allshare and Firmware updates only. The hardware and system is not set up to hold content or stream apps.
However, the 2010 Blu-Ray player offering this year currently has some great options if you're in the market for a Blu-Ray player, and many of the Samsung Apps available on the televisions are also available on the Blu-Ray players. It's an option for your consideration, since I don't believe any Samsung Apps will be added to the PNxxC550 models.
Will Samsung ever update all TVs firmware so that those of us currently without widgets can someday use them?
I have an ethernet port, but no real internet connectivity with my PN58C550. Since I have the hardware, will Samsung offer the software to give us Internet capabilities?
