Firmware Modding Noob

I'd like to flash/flex/update firmware on my sanyo scp-5500/vm-4500, but I can't find any sites. Where should I look?

(And yes, I know that Sprint can update firmware in-store. I'm mainly interested in flashing and flexing.)
