Firmware 1019 and 1019.1 - Are these the same?

by eeichler / May 14, 2010 4:00 AM PDT

On the Samsung download site, version 1019.1 is listed. When I downloaded and installed on my UN32C6500, it lists the firmware version as 2010/04/19_001019 on screen. No 'dot one'. My Internet TV does not work at all, and I'm wondering if the correct file is up on the Samsung site.

Firmware 1019 and 1019.1 - Are these the same?

eeichler,

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Assuming this is a U.S. set (as I checked on the U.S. site for firmware) and based on the release dates, it would appear that the website has the most current dated firmware update, and I'm not sure why that's not made available for the download.

In the meantime, you can download the update on a thumb-drive and install it on the TV if you'd like. I'll look further into this.

I am downloading from the website to a USB drive. I was told by Level 2 support today that over the air had been disabled for some reason.

I'm not understanding your response - Are 1019 and 1019.1 actually different releases, and what is on the download site?

eeichler,

The file should be donwloaded to the computer. Many of the files come in a zipped format, which can't be unzipped on the drive itself.

I'm still looking into the differences in the firmware if one exists.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
