Firewire on sound card

May 16, 2006 8:50AM PDT

Im getting ready to buy the Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Sound Card and it has a firewire port on it. I need a firewire in my new comp so that I can transfer video files from my ADS PYRO A/V Link. Will this firewire port work as a video firewire? Are all firewires capable of video transfers? Any answers are welcome.

I have the Audigy with such. Answer? YES. It's fine.

I can't tell if you need special software for the ADS, but WINDV worked fine with firewire camcorders. If the ADS is not a camcorder then you have to rethink this.

The ADS is a link between a video device and the computer. Currently I have my 360 hooked into it for video capturing.
