Firewire and DVD transfer.

by Millerband / July 9, 2004 2:41 PM PDT

Hi.I have a JVC GR-D70U mini DV camcorder. I need to buy a firewire card so I can transfer my video to my pc. My question is this, I do NOT have a DVD burner on my PC. So, I need to know if there is any way that AFTER I edit my movies on my PC, is there any way to transfer my edited movie BACK to my camcorder from the PC so I can burn my movie to DVD on my stand alone DVD recorder?
Any advice is sincerely appreciated.

Well, sure. As long as the video editing program you use has the feature of sending the finished movie back to tape. Usually you have a choice of outputs, and tape is one of them. (Useful for archiving finished movies.)

I can't believe nobody's answered this for you already....

Hi I'm not familiar with your camera but to send the edited video back to your tape you need "DV in" facility on your camcorder.

this would take forever even if you could do it
- better to run a video cable from your computer to DVD burner
-I think radio shack has that cable

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
