Firewalls, Antispam, Spyware

Many simply disable the firewall, antispam, and use only the AV program.

You can download Zone Alarm (free edition).
It's an excellent firewall, and all you really need.
The other programs seem to create more problems, rather than solving them.

Also, changing to Firefox (free download)
for your primary browser offers many security advantages and it has it's own pop up blocker.

Everyone seems to have their own formula for security, but I've found that this works well for me.
Firefox browser, Norton AV, Zone Alarm Free, Adaware, Spybot Search & Destroy, Microsoft Antispyware Beta.

All except Norton are free and do a good job of keeping the pests away.
Best of Luck

Norton is definitely a bully--either let it have it's way or remove it!

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
