firewall poundering

ok xp pro dlinks router all critical updates etc.
im thunking of useing za free do i need it as im on cable and behind a nat router? Confused

in a word, No.

that said, having a software firewall like ZA or Kerio Personal Firewall will not hurt you either, providing your router firewall has been enabled.

a software firewall is useful because you can control the packets your PC sends.

...that used both software and router firewalls. Although most networked machines will function well inside the router when using ZA or something similar, there are occasions when the internet connection will suffer.

Just an observation.
