i am using avast home anti virus program, but it does not show a firewall what would be a good firewall to use that will work with avast?

Windows version? XP/VISTA? use the firewall within windows it is a part of the OS unless you have an older version of XP without service pack 2.

sorry i am using xp with sp3 but i was told that the built in fire wall is not the best as there is not seeting on it? i was wondering about zone alrm or a seperate firewall ?

Zone alarm is good stuff, get the full package, which includes a firewall and get rid of the other you would be fine with that but the Windows firewall, for the most part is usually sufficient, assuming you have good after market security software, including anti virus, anti spam anti spyware.

im using avast home 4.8 should i delete avast and get the free zone alarm? and is there away of setting windows firewall? but i had zonealarm pro free and i had more trouble then you would ever know.

get AVG for your anti virus and get the free Comodo Firewall. I have used it with both of the above programs with no problems. Also had problems with ZA
