Firefox still lacks speed...

Feb 25, 2005 12:57AM PST

I know firefox is better than MSIE. Still there are few problems. One of them which I feel very disgusting...
I see there is some problem in loading a page after some event. When I click a link, there is a delay transferring and receiving data from domain.

Do you all experience this?

Not I, but then ...

I posted a popular tip in the XP forum and the Browser forum about common FF speedups. The stock settings are very safe and not that fast.

In answer to your question. No.

Not for me

I have to re-install XP fairly regularly. I have never been able to get recovery or repair to work right. IE6 is always corrupted by that time. It only works right after re-install. Firefox has only exhibited problems when XP screws up. It's been very stable on its own.

Why?

Why do you have to re-install XP so often?

Do you have problems with viruses, spyware, ad-ware, and/or hackers that your protection software is unable to handle?

You need;

A firewall, to prevent hackers from invading your computer,

An anti-virus program, with it's virus definitions kept uptodate, and the computer scanned regularly,

An anti-adware program to fight against adware pop-ups,

Anti-spyware programs to fight against the ever increasing problem of spyware.

What programs do you use?
