FireFox help: Different Homepages.

by rosscbrown / February 4, 2008 6:23 PM PST

When I fire up Firefox it opens three tabs; Google,Google and my Exchange Server Web access.

Thats all good and great when I'm at home but when I'm at university I'd like it to open Google, Uni Intranet and Uni Exchange OWA.

Is this possible? Also, when I open a new tab - can I have Google there and not just an empty tab?

Maybe try the iMacro plugin to write/record a macro to open the right set of pages. You might have to call the macro by hand in stead of opening the pages automatically, which means a few clicks at most. I don't think it's possible to have it test where you are.

Yes, I didn't think I'd be able to tell where I was (IF wireless SSID= "NapAir" THEN load University Homepages OTHERWISE load default homepage) Silly

I'll try that plug in. Any ideas for the blank tab loading Google by default?

Extension TabMix Plus...

In reply to: Hmm

It won't help with the multiple homepage groupings, but you can use it to set a page or group of pages as the choice to open when ever you open a new, otherwise blank, tab.

Hope this helps,
John
