Firefox Error: Procedure entry point

May 6, 2005 6:59AM PDT

I use Mozilla Firefox as my default browser, version 1.0.3. After a recent update I now get the following error everytime I click on a webpage link:

The procedure entry point
??0NS_ConvertUTF16toUTF8@@QAE@PBG@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library xpcom.dll.

Bloody Hell...what does that mean?? any one got any ideas? does it mean a nasty registry hack? I've unistalled the browser, delted the exe. then redownloaded Fiewfox but it hasn't helped. Stuck now Sad

Running Windows XP Professional Version 2002 service pack 2 on an AMD Sempron 2800+
