FireFox download manager problem

Hi,
When i go to any web page and try and download something and either save it to the disk or open the download manager will not open, in the options menu i have "show download manager when download begins" ticked but it still will not open. If i open the download manager when something is downloading it will not show that anything is downloading and the part that says "all files downloaded to" doesnt have something next to it even though i have chosen a path for it every time in options. Does anybody have any idea why this is happening?

I do not use Firefox download manager but...

my brother says some download manager extension does not work with Firefox 2.0... maybe that is the problem. Most likely it will be updated soon to be compatible... hopefully!
