Firefox & Buzz Out Loud newletter question

Feb 28, 2006 4:41PM PST

Hi can someone please tell me where you find the favorites that you save in Firefox. I just found out that it's not showing up in IE. I'd like to be able to back them up.

Also can you get back issues of the newsletter for Buzz Out Loud?

Also is there a way that you can save your podcasts list that you have in Juice. Not the podcasts themselves like a text file telling you what podcasts that your subscribed to so that if you have to reinstall Juice or any other podcatcher you can remember what you were subscribed to. Sorry if this is a bit confusing. Happy Thanks a bunch

Answer to number one...

I'm afraid I've flunked the pop quiz, but at least I can answer 1/3:

Firefox stores all of your favorites in the file bookmarks.html (and a backup in bookmarks.bak) in your Firefox profile folder. The exact location varies, but here is the guideline:

Windows XP:
local drive:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\random characters.default

Windows 9x/ME:
local drive:\Windows\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\random characters.default

Mac OS X:
~/Library/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/random characters.default

** The Application Data folder is hidden by default, so you'll have to enable the viewing of hidden folders (view->folder options->view) or type in the location manually.

Hope this helps,
John
