Question

FIrefox 57 window resize

Updated to Firefox 57 and find no way to drag browser window corners to resize windows. I used to do this all the time, but can't find any way to do it or any tips on Google. Please help. (moderator edited out the email)@yahoo.com

top right corner

see three boxes? First is to minimize, the second is to allow resizing, the third with X is to close browser. You I think need the middle one.

Middle box is Maximize

The middle box only maximizes the Firefox window for me (Win10x64 under Classic Shell).
I can use Alt+Space Bar to bring up the sizing menu, but Size option is disabled. Cursor does not change when placed on Firefox window edge or corner, so sizing (other than min/max) appears to be disabled.

Three Boxes?

No idea what your talking about with boxes but if you click on the three bars at top right it drops a menu which has
- 100% + (are they the boxes your talking about?)
You can add any number you like or just hit plus or minus.
I just accidentally found out you can drag any tab into any position as well, no idea how long thats been available as I've never used the feature before plus like most people, I don't read the manual unless I have to

Possible solution

In the upper right, below the X in the corner, open the menu by clicking on the three parallel horizontal bars. Select "customize". Look at the bottom of the screen for a box labelled "Density."
Click the arrow to the right of it, and choose "Normal." Then click on "Done" to the far right. You should now be able to resize the window by dragging the edges/corner of the browser window. I believe the default is "compact" which prevents this.
I can now resize my window, and my Taskbar is no longer hidden by Firefox. (the taskbar would disappear when opening or switching to firefox)

Many thanks

Many thanks.

Spoke too soon

This worked temporarily, but as soon as I close that dialog box/window Firefox 57 reverts to the non-dragable corners, VERY frustrating! Any other ideas - your last was good but incomplete (for me).

Title Bar

I was seeing the same issues until I checked the "Title Bar" box in the bottom left of the "Customize" screen. I would prefer to have that extra real estate back, but for now at least dragging and resizing works.

Just tried this on W10 64 Bit Home and FF57 Quantum.

And it's fine here. If I have FF fullscreen I can not resize by trying to grab corners. I have to click that second in to the far right X to get in windowed mode and then I can grab corners.

I'm on a very stock W10. No skins or apps like Start10, etc.

Same Here

I am having the same issue. Recently updated to Firefox 57 and now I cannot resize the browser window. All other applications are resizable simply by hovering the cursor over the edge of the window; arrows appear, I click and drag, and the window is resized. But with FF57, no arrows appear in that scenario. I can still move the window around the screen, maximize and minimize, and fullscreen, but cannot resize the window at all.

Fixed, Accidentally

I don't know what I did, but it's fixed now. I changed the theme to "dark", and I'm now able to resize the window.

Answer
FireFox Window resize fix

ok so, top right of firefox browser window> click the 3 horizontal bars > select customize > bottom left, make sure tick is present for the Drag Space.

Resize is now possible.

Did you try?

using 'Flexible Space' in customise?
