Two questions...
by John.Wilkinson / September 23, 2007 10:59 PM PDT

1.) Is this the internal update or installing the full downloadable version over the existing installation?
2.) What is the error message, if one is displayed?

From point number one the first workaround I'd try is downloading the full installed from Mozilla's website and overwriting the existing installation. Sometimes that alone cures the problem in the future while other times you have to investigate corrupt Firefox profiles and firewall settings. Getting the browser updated would be first on my mind, though.

downloaded full browser update and tried that - firefox.exe won't open and I get message "error opening file for writing".

What now?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
