General discussion

I have been using Firefox from the early versions up to and including version 2.0 with no problems. I have WinXP MediaCenter and NAV 2007. Since my wireless router has a firewall, I have un-installed ZoneAlarmPro. I also have the Windows firewall turned off.

Firefox version was released earlier this month and three different times I received the pop up message that this new version has been downloaded and will be installed the next time I open Firefox. All three times, after installation is done I cannot access the internet and must go back and reinstall version 2.0. I might add that during the installation, there is no status or other indication of installation in progress, including installation is complete, shown on my screen. Has anyone else experienced this and how can I keep version from automatically downloading and installing until this is worked out?

click on tools

click on options

click on advanced

click on update

click on ask me what I want to do.

That should stop it from updating.

Hope this helps.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
