Fired: "Happy to party with black people drowning"

As long as we are in drivel mode today over tossings from the peanut gallery at news people, let's take a look at some of those news people. Further backs my idea that maybe peanut tossing at news people might have some basis of justification.

"Happy to party with black people drowning".

I don't know if any black people have actually drowned in Isaac at New Orleans, but if so, why in hell is this news person saying that about someone who isn't President instead of the one who is President at this time?!

"Yahoo News fired its Washington bureau chief on Wednesday, less than
24 hours after he was caught on an open microphone saying that Mitt
Romney and his wife, at the Republican convention in Florida while a
hurricane was approaching Louisiana, were "happy to have a party with
black people drowning."
Company spokeswoman Anne Espiritu said Wednesday that David Chalian's
remark was inappropriate and does not represent Yahoo's views.
"We have already reached out to the Romney campaign, and we apologize
to Mitt Romney, his staff, their supporters and anyone who was offend,"
she said."

More peanuts?

Thanks to Josh for the link

I went to his link on the goober toss at the RNC, saw a link to another Huffpo "racist" event at the bottom that somehow he'd missed seeing. I then found the better version of story with picture of perp at NPR. Thanks Josh! I might have missed that story if it hadn't been for you. I guess you missed it, or you'd surely have posted it before me, yes? Too bad the police didn't escort him out. He could have then interviewed the other two people who had been ejected from the RNC.

You're welcome

And thanks right back at you for noting that the person who said that was fired immediately. Note also that nobody here is making excuses for what he said or trying to claim it was some kind of Republican set-up.

as a side note

Nobody drowned in New Orleans due to Isaac. One person did die, by falling 18 feet from a tree. I wonder if a Democrat pushed him. Wink

Not the first Republican to fall out of a tree

some have even fallen off of a turnip truck.

Some nuts will fall out of a tree if you just shake it, no need to push them.

LOL, I actually got a laugh from that one

a Republican with a 3 piece suit in a tree.

From your subsequent link. Death toll 4

and the guy falling out of the tree doesn't sound nearly so funny, when he was trying to help friends to free their car which had been trapped by the leaning tree.

So perhaps you should confine your "jokes" to less serious topics James.

The thing that disgusts me is that we have to go to London's Daily Mail to get clear reporting on this. Right Wing working class reporting, but Right Wing nonetheless.
