Fingerprint Sensor and Alternate Password

by Pilagu / July 3, 2014 6:18 PM PDT

Dear All,

I have a Galaxy S5 and I like it, however there is an annoying feature I can not find a solution for.
I am using a fingerprint sensor to unlock the phone. It is not as accurate as an iPhone, but it is good enough.
what I can not explain though. If the fingerprint reader misses to read my fingerprint 5 times, it blocks the phone for 30 seconds before it let you try again.
There is an alternative password!!!...This is why I set it up isn't it?...So why can not you use it straight away?
30 second seems a long time to wait, when you quickly want to make a phone call.
...Or am I the only one who finds this annoying?
Is there any way that feature can be turned off?

Thank you.
