FinePix 470 Zoom Error

I'm facing what seems to be the common "Focus Error" problem with FinePix cameras... Only now this is with the recent f470 model. This probably happened when I was zooming in and placed my hand in front of the lens. Suggestions for other models have not worked for me.

Turning the camera on has the splash screen briefly show up, a double beep and screen turns black. A this point, I can't turn the camera off. The only way I can have something show up again is when I plug it into my computer. The "Focus Error" shows up again and I can use the top/down/left/right buttons... which is kinda useless...

Anyone else with this problem? Any other suggestion?

That camera is still under warranty and you need to contact Fujifilm service about getting it repaired.
