Finding cooler temp 15.6" Laptop

I just retired, my office laptops are gone and I need one. I might run multiple VMs or anything ... and I like speed. I bought a workstation with a quad i7, 16 GB, and a 500 GB 7200 rpm drive. and noticed it was getting very warm near the computer. The inside was being managed properly, but the exhaust was 135 degrees. Yikes. Computer returned.

I am not a gamer, but a gaming laptop is fine or a workstation. I was in a computer store and started a full Antivirus scans on machines. Amazing how fast the top of the laptops heated up.

My minimum cpu is a dual core i7.

Unfortunately reviews seldom address external temp,
So help. Suggestions please.

For now, I don't see any PC meeting your goals.

All seem to produce heat. Even if I look at the fanless designs these will get hot under the usual loads you wrote about.

Maybe in a few years?
