I used to do my own editing of her posts...I would delete all the "off topic" parts and repost (her words) with editing and respond to the relevant parts (if there were any) of her posts.

It didn't work....I gave up....just responded to what I wanted to respond to.

#3, terror management, isn't new. It's what makes one's opponent the Other, someone who is made to be much different from one than they are. As he said, it's tied closely to nationalism. Both of those were working in this society before Trump came along.
What the Bible says is that we all came from one source, so we have no excuse for alienation. It also says these dangerous urges came from one source and will be cleared up without our help. No one believes these things, of course.
The author sees little hope for change within the system. I see no hope.
