on standard players. The write all the information that a standard player looks for to read the disk. Nothing is lost if you take the DVD out of the recorder without finalizing it. On a PC, you would tell the software to eject the disk. Later model hardware can usually reopen a disk after it has been finalized.
Is this a typo? 'I know that the disc cannot be seen in a DVD player after being finalized'. It should read;
I know that the disc can be seen in a DVD player after being finalized
Hello everybody,
I have a camcorder Hitachi DVD DZ-MV550, and I am very confused about the type of disc that I should use and the necessity to finalize the disc immediately in the camcorder.
This camcorder ask me to put in the charger when I want to finalize a DVD-R disc. But what if I am on a mountain and I want to film 5 discs and finalyse them after a week ?
Will I lose all the information if I take the disc out of the camcorder? Cna I take it out and finalize it in 2 weeks?
I know that the disc cannot be seen in a DVD player after being finalized but will the information remain on the disc?
Now the second question: does a DVD-RAM have to be finalized or not?
It is true that the DVD-RAM are twice as expensive as DVD-R.
What I want is to be able to keep the information registered intact an the DVD that I use.
Thanks for your opinions.
