The C-7070 uses a non standard thread (40.5 mm) to attach a filter directly to the lens.
You may have trouble finding that size.
Of course, Olympus sells them:

You can also add a wide-angle or tele converter lens, but this requires an adapter tube:

By the way....The Olympus WCON and TCON (wide angle and tele converter lenses) are considered the best quality converter lenses made. Conversion lenses you find on eBay will be poorer quality.

I just bought the new Olympus C-7070 and although I love the camera so far, I am disappointed with a couple of things. First of all the lens cap comes off way too easy. I was planning on buying filters anyways but I definitley have too just to protect the lens. What should i look for in a good filter kit in terms of quality and necessity? Are there brands of filters that are better than others? I noticed the lens has threading around the edges so the filter should just screw right on without the need for an adapter. Is this correct? I noticed on eBay some of the filter kits come with a tube adapter. What is that all about? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!
