Yep, one usually prints to a printer or a pdf-file, not to a webpage. So nothing seems wrong, except possibly your description of the problem.

Now complain with the owner of the on line application. Or if you're the owner, complain with the programmer. Or if you're the programmer, fix it or find somebody to fix it for you, whatever it is.

Sometimes It's Not Designed That Way

Although many times, there are online applications that allow you to type into the page while it's online and print it on a printer later, in other cases, because the receiver wants to have a legal/correct signature at the bottom, the only way to fill it out is to print the document on a printer, manually fill it out offline, then scan the filled-out/signed page, then email/send it back to the original location.

Hope this helps.

Or If It's Supposed to Allow You To Type On The Page...

Especially if it's a PDF file online, look on the document to see if there is "Protection" enabled. If so, you might be able to disable the protection and then type on the online page. But that depends on the type of protection used on the document.

It might also help to use a different browser to open the online page.

Hope this helps.
