Files to Outlook Express

I have just changed computers, and OS, from Win98 SE to Windows XP Home.
I copied a lot of my personal files to CD_ROM for transfer to the XP OS. The problem: I transfered my files to the C drive, and the OE folder without any problems, but, I had some 50 Posts stored in my Drafts folder of Outlook Express for future reference. The entire system is working fine except that the Posts will not show up in my present Drafts folder of Outlook Express. When clicked on, it shows empty.
How can I get those files to install ?

If someone makes up another backup system other than what we read at http://support.microsoft.com/?id=270670 then they get to fix it.

Maybe something in that will help.

The usual gaffe is the file is read-only when copied off the CD-R. OLEXP doesn't like that.
