files/documents search

Hello, I am wondering how to clear the dropdown list in the files/documents etc. search. Seems that you cannot delete a search heading just by hitting the delete key. Tried looking for a menu option withing Win 2000 NT, but have not found it. Can anyone help?

Thanks

by running your REGEDIT and navigating to this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RunMRU

To delete all simple select them in the right window and delete (Do NOT delete the (Default) name or value)

To delete only specific ones select them and note what letter they have. Re-letter the Names and the value of MRUlist so there are no gaps.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
