I also just tried to copy my Firefox bookmarks to a folder so I could try deleting and reloading the browser and I get the same message about Filepicker. This glitch is not allowing me to do anything. I tried system restore twice and both times it went through the process and then reported that it was unable to restore and no changes were made. What have I done?
I have an XP Pro SP-2 computer, 2 80-Gb hard drives, 1024 memory and I have about 600 music CDs loaded on the 2nd hard drive. I keep a picture file on hard drive one and I download photos from the internet to make labels for my CDs (just so you know, I pay for the CDs and I burn songs onto CD-Rs for myself. I'm not a pirate.)Lately, if I right click on a photo and then click save, I get a dialog box stating "The Filepicker was unexpectedly closed by Windows" and it will not allow me to download the photo. I tried with both Firefox and with IE 6. Anyone have a clue what I did to this thing now?
