Are you actually trying to UPLOAD a file to a file storage location on a website or are you trying to eventually download the file to your personal computer after the website first downloads it? Please explain clearer.

If you sent a URL to another website which would upload/store a file for you, you would still need to download the file to get it on your own computer, or to anyone else's computer. Nothing's saved by doing something as you propose.. By the way, most videos don't transmit through a standard URL.. It's embedded through Flash or some other scripting method so the correct URL isn't always an easy thing to get..

If you want to save a link to a video or picture, why not save the URL to a Word document or as a Favorite so you could download it later?

Hope this helps and let us know more.
