Question

File type - help please

Apr 22, 2015 1:55PM PDT

what type of file is this? I got it from the folder: library/iTunes/backup/mobile... I can't remember exact name.
OSX 10.10.3

when I first found the folder I opened it and selected all files in it and clicked 'open'.... well, computer tried to open them with TextEdit. Then it just showed 10,000 TextEdit windows, so I closed program (I think). I wonder if it changed the original file type or something?

As it's in that folder it's not meant for direct use like this. That is, iTunes uses it and you use iTunes.
