I'm trying to use Offline Files in Windows XP to keep a mirror copy of several folders on my network on my laptop. XP keeps telling me that certain file types cannot be made available offline; how do I change this?

Bob,
The system gives me a list of yellow triangles after synchronizing (actually, after making a drive available offline), with the message, "Files of this type cannot be made available offline". This includes things like .PST files, but also data files from other non-Microsoft programs, inexplicably. I thought mabe they had gotten flagged as read-only, but it doesn't seem to matter. Is there a way to change whether certain file types can be made available offline? I'll take a look at the Microsoft support reference, too.
Thanks,
Severn
Bob,
No luck - here's the message:
"Unable to make 'filename.ext' available offline on \\workgroup\foldername. Files of this type cannot be made available offline."
Microsoft Knowledge Base seems to have a blind spot here - any ideas?
Best,
Severn Clay
