Question

File Shredder Program

May 4, 2020 6:48PM PDT

I'm getting ready to finally hook up my new computer and was wondering if
the File Shredder program is a good program to use to remove stuff
off of my old computer before disconnecting it.

Answer
It's one of many that do the same thing.

For example, 34 at https://www.lifewire.com/free-file-shredder-software-programs-2619149

But how are you cleaning off all that Windows saves in other places?
How are you removing your current account?
Are you aware how to create new local Admin accounts?

Not as simple as a file shredder if you are disposing of a PC! I'd consider using DBAN and would not worry that it has no OS installed. I want nothing left on that PC when it leaves.

Thanks for the reply!
I will use the DBAN program on the computer I'm getting rid of.
