File Sharing Problem

I have 2 PCs, connected with network.
I formated them both, and installed XP.
I ran network setup wizard on both, in computer A it failed and in computer B it succeeded.
So I had to set up manually ICS for computer A because A connects directly to the internet.

Now both PCs have Internet access and can see each other, but computer B cannot access shared folders and printer on computer A because it asks for username and password for the COMPUTER (not the FOLDER).

It is important to say that computer A CAN access computer's B shared folders WITHOUT a password.

I tried to run network setup wizard again and again but it failed!

Unconfigured firewalls....

In reply to: File Sharing Problem

seem to be the number 1 reason for networking troubles. Try turning them off until you get going.

It's not the firewall...

In reply to: Unconfigured firewalls....

I have XP SP1 on both PCs and no other firewall except the integrated.
But the integrated works ONLY with internet and NOT LAN!
So there is no firewall.

I tried to enable the guest account but I now get another error saying that it does not have permission.

I suppose that network setup wizard configures security issues but since I cannot run it, can you help me to set security manually?

Solution found!!!!!

In reply to: File Sharing Problem

I just write the solution I found in case someone else has the same problem:

Right Click: My Computer -> Manage -> Users -> Guest -> Untick "Account is disabled"

Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> Administrative Tools -> Local Security Policy -> Local Policies -> User Rights Assignment -> Deny access to this computer from the network -> Remove "Guest" from the list
