file sharing in home network with windows mobile (Urgent)

by oludir / May 27, 2007 11:17 AM PDT

I have my computer shipped to HP for repairs. Some of my files are in another computer that I cannot connect my XV6700 to (for reasons too elaborate to specify). I need help in setting up some sort of file sharing so that i can access the shared folders on the computer from my XV6700 through my wireless network to which they are both connected. i know this can be done since i remember doing it a long time ago. I have simply forgotten the settings I used. My XV6700 simply refuses to go to the path for my pc. Keeps saying the settings will not allow such a connection.

Help me if you can.

I put the files on my SD card and I'm done.

All my files are backed up in a 1Gb micro SD card. My XV6700 uses a mini SD. I have seen a video about 6 months ago that demonstrated how to connect to computers on your wireless network using a windows mobile pocket pc. The video was here on CNET. Any idea where that is?

For the microSD cards I bought the adapter. Next time you fix such, be sure to create a cheat sheet. As it stands, so little is told that I can't see what step you missed. I don't duplicate network setup content you find on the internet so something is different, but it's not evident in your posts.

I'd cheat and get the adapter.

Your reply was a tiny weeny bit disconcerting. I have figured out how to use windows mobile to connect to other computers within my wireless network. Thank you for your replies though.
