File Etc. line at top of page above toolbars

My computer is a notebook Sony Vaio...model no. VGN-NR220E, 32 bit system running Vista. I do not know how to get that information put on my computer. I would really appreciate help. Someone told me it is there it's just hidden..Thanks

graci24, Right click an empty area of the Toolbar on top and checkmark Menu Bar.

Thank you tufenuf for your help. I tried the empty space in toolbar that didn't work for me but the empty space below favorites and b4 your page starts worked very well. Thank you very much. I really felt stupid asking but that's what we are all here for to learn and help one another.

Try the usual.

Press Alt+F for File, Alt+V for View and remember that for each app the setting to show this is not standardized so be sure to look for any "View" settings.
