FightingAIDS@home

I went to digg.com after listening to the interview today. One of the stories that I saw there was about the fightingAIDS@home. I am currently participating in the folding@home that is working on the human genome project. I got involved because of the engaget podcast. Engaget put together a team and in a matter of about four weeks went from nothing to being on the threshold of breaking into the top 150 teams. I am all for work on the human genome project, but AIDS seems like a pretty current and real need. Is there any interest in putting together a BuzzOutLoud Team?

Note, this is a part of the World Community Grid - no relation, that I know of, to the impending Google World Domination Grid. So there are two projects that you can work on, the AIDS project and the Human Proteome project (a more general disease research project). You can choose to recieve projects from one or both. Linux computers can only do the Human Proteome project for right now.

If there is any interest I will start a team.

Anyone Interested in being a part of a team?
Nov 28, 2005 9:52AM PST

I always like to be a part of a team, especially a good one. If people are interested then I will set up the team. If not I will head over to aximsite or one of my other haunts. It is a good cause, and doesn't really take up much time or effort.
