I have a Sony mini CD player/recorder. It has the standard RCA/mini-pin plug for input to record music. It also has a fiber optic input jack for recording from a player/amp with fiber optic output. Will be a fully digital signal.
I surmise that if I can copy CDs to my HD I can then copy them to the mini-player. In fact, I can using the analog audio ports. What I want is a peripherial card, PCI or AGP with fiber optic output. Picture this: a good sound card with outputs including a digital fiber output. I can't seem to find the card (on line), if one even exists.
Any thoughts?
