In today's systems I continue to hook up like this.
Source over HDMI -> Receiver -> HDTV and one final optical from the HDTV back to the receiver for OTA play.
If you are using COAX or RCA jacks that's not HD so something's off right there. Also you could be in trouble since I rarely see COAX standard def content to be more than stereo so there again, another issue.
Something's not right but there are so many missing model numbers that I can't look at this further.
Hi i have a samsung tv model # PN42C450B1D. I am trying to connect my phillips blu ray dolby digital sound to my tv. I believe i have all the cords properly plugged in. When i watch my blu ray i hear the sound perfect but when i watch my satellite it seems like its just not connecting through.
I have the fiber optic cable plugged into the blu ray which is then plugged into the connector box that supports the coax cable plugged into my tv.
Any suggestions on why i cant hear the speakers threw my sat?
