FF2 issues

I use this browser only for certain sites since FF caches the graphics, etc. so the pages load up faster on a dialup connection; however, occasionally, I lose that connection and the stupid 'send error report' for MS as well as Firefox shows up. I don't need to send a report for each incident like this and it's a pita to have to close not only the MS window with 'don't send' (I can turn that off in services easily but haven't yet) and then have to open the error report window for FF and delete that report each time. How do I turn it off for good in FF?

The other problem I have is that since I upgraded to version 2, when I open FF in a new tab it displays that info with a link to go to my home page. How do I get rid of that first screen and just have it go to my homepage in extra tabs?
