few questions about framing...

i am looking to purchase my first digital camera
i will mainly be taking pictures of landscapes, cityscapes, sunsets, etc and would like to frame and display them in my condo
i live on the eight floor of the building and have a great view of boston and would like to capture some great shots
what would be a good investment and how large a picture will i be able to take?

i have a canon i560 photo printer btw

Most home printers can print out photos to about 8 x 10 inches.

Printers for larger formats are available, but expensive.
You can always get large prints from photo service places.

Digital cameras are rated by megapixel capability of the image sensor. Presently they range from 3 megapixels to 9 megapixels for most small cameras.

The more mexapixels, the larger you can print.
