Ferrite Core-Do I need it for my L2N46A650 & Where install?

Jan 27, 2009 12:10PM PST

Included with my new Samsung L2N46A650 was a Ferrite Core. Where do I install it. Does it go around the Power/Plug Cable or the HDMI cable going into the TV? I've noticed some quick "static" flashes when my refrigerator or Oil burner turns on, will this help reduce this. If not, what can I do or is it a problem with the TV? I am connected to a good Monster Power Surge protector. Thanks to all for the advice. Regards.

I was about to post the same question. I just purchased a LN46A750 and noticed the same screen flash as you. I do not have the core installed either. Hopefully someone can respond.

I believe these cores are for RF interference and not electrical interference.
