ATT for years had their own chip and system labs. What makes you think they don't make their own gear?
Does anyone here know who the manufacturer of the ATT Femtocell device is?

Bob, you aren't thinking too clearly here. (Too much Easter food today?)
What makes you automatically assume it wouldn't be simply a rebranded device manufactured by a third party? What, you think ATT produces the DSL modems they throw in for free for tens of thousands of customers? As you well know sometimes it's cheaper and easier to have a third party produce such a device.
It seems to be the old MicroCell redux. That's ATT's domain and we see it was a ATT + Cisco coventure and codevelopment. Doesn't mean much except it will be an ATT exclusive device.
Not long ago I worked on such at Mot. It's not a new idea but the regulations look to be relaxed and made these possible here.
Bob
It's quite simply made by Cisco for ATT. Whether or not they had a previous shared venture or technology isn't the crux of the matter here. It's technically a Cisco device they're picking up for the femtocell/microcell service they're promoting.
So you were working at Moto as well? Cool. I've got a few engineer friends still slugging it out there
