Feeding HDTV antenna to multiple sets

Nov 29, 2005 11:39PM PST

i have an HD antenna in my attic, with the pre-amp. right now i only have the signal going to 1 set. i have an amplifier (channel master 0747) for that tv. i now want to split the cable and feed it to another tv in the house. is there a special splitter i need? or will the regular one work? and do i need an extra amplifier for the 2nd set? thanks for any help.

Feeding HDTV antenna to multiple sets

The digital signal does NOT require any "special" amp or splitter!!!! Regular ones will do fine.
Your RF amp, how much gain does it have, 10db, 20db????
If you have a 10 db gain or more just get RF splitter.
Now I'm sure that companies like "MC" have there super-duper-de-poper digtial ready BIG$$$$$$$$ spitters.
But the $10 one will work great. John

the gain is 26dB, and i was mistaken - the thing before the tv is the power supply. so, i guess that i don't need another if i split it. thanks.
