Re:fax setup

Install a fax modem in the machine and fire up XPs built in fax program.

Need fax help too

Had WinFax Pro 10.0 and it did not work on my new AMD 6400+ PC with XP. I would like to fax also, don't know what program to buy. I do everything thru my comcast cable connection and have no modem. Also have no open slots on the back of my PC though I have open bays on the front. Suggestions and simplified explanations would be appreciated.

Did you notice the date of that original question?

You need dial tone to FAX, period. No modem, no FAX. No slots, no modem. With the exception of a USB modem, but then back to dial tone. eFax is available for a fee, Google it. You FAX from your email and receive FAXs in your email. Not free.

WinFax has worked perfectly on my many PCs. What problem did you have?

Fax Setup

I would suggest you to try internet fax service because it is more convenient and simple to send fax using your email account. Internet fax is also very affordable with a cheap monthly rate.
