From the less frequent "Angry Tom" moments to the "Professorial Tom" moments - you got any favorite ones? Post'em here...

Truth be told, the fact that this thread is (so far) empty suggests to me that the best thing about Tom is/was his calm in the face of others' ranting.

The last few podcasts I've heard him go off on rants about this or that, but hey, he's a short timer now. But mostly he's been dispassionate in temperament, if not actual opinion (there is a difference).

Basically, I agree with you. But also...this forum has kinda slowed down a bit...

I was about to put a few moments down, but I don't have a clear grasp as to when they happened. Tom is a good mix between a consummate and quirky professional.

He had plenty of good one liners though can't remember one off the top of my head.

Tom's an Old Chair
May 14, 2010 3:45AM PDT

I've read some of the other posts and tend to agree. I'm having some trouble coming up with a "best moment" for Tom.

It is somewhat like being asked for your "best moment" for an old, comfortable chair. You love that chair! You've spent so much time in that chair! It is the perfect chair for you! And, just because it is difficult to think of a best moment provided by that chair, doesn't diminish the value of that chair to you.

Tom has been the level-headed, and at times dispassionate, but rational voice on BOL. I've thoroughly enjoyed his analysis and opinions. Heck, there have been times when I've heard Tom and Molly's voices more than my own family's!

Tom, you've rekindled my love of tech over the last three and a half years. Thank you and best of luck at TwiT TV!
