General discussion

faulty photo printing

Feb 17, 2006 1:02AM PST

My Word 2003 document consists of one page of two columns: the left-hand one
2 in wide contains text, the right-hand one nearly 5 in wide contains 3 photos, one above the other.

When I try to print the page, the text prints OK, but only half (horizontal)of the top photo prints, and not the two below - although their titles (below
each one) do print.

I've tried to print several times and on two different printers - a Canon and an Epson - but the result is the same. I have printed many photos but have never had this problem before.

Help!

The driver dance.

I've often found this to be a driver issue. Microsoft does not update drivers proper for us so I get to find latest drivers for motherboard, video, audio, printer and whatever else I have.

Problem printing Word Doc with photos...

How did you created the two columns or are columns actually created(e.g. table, newspaper text column) ? How did you insert the photos ? What does Print Preview show ? Try creating text boxes to insert the photos therein.

Faulty photo printing

Thanks, Bob and Papa Echo. I've resolved my problem. It appears that my 'C'-Drive partition (Win XP)was rather too crowded. I kept getting 'running out of space' messages. So I've re-jigged my system, putting Win XP Home in a new 10 GB partition (it was only 5 GB before, and all seems to be well. Photos now printing OK.

Thanks, anyway.
