FATCOW - Stay Away

May 16, 2012 11:33PM PDT

This web hosting companies is the worst ever.

I have been their customer for a few months. While they advertise that there is no bandwidth limits (Oodles to use their parlance). I just tried to send an email to 60 users of my site and received an error message that my email "exceeded the maximum number of recipients".

Not exactly what most would call Oodles of bandwidth. I asked for help via their chat application and was told that they would "open a ticket" but refused to refund any of my money.

I don't remember any clauses stating that there are email limits when I signed up with them.

Via an email client or a mailer application?

Stay away #2 from FatCow

a year ago i got an introductory rate of about $38/annual. I had not done anything with website development for awhile but had some information on it. When I tried to access my account, I had lost the information, and had difficulty even finding the account. I canceled, but they did not listen. I received not long after I attempted to cancel the account a renew email stating that the renewal cost was $107. I then canceled. They lost my information, and then wanted me to pay more. Stay away from them. I don't care how many satisfied customers they have. I don't care how many people think they are the "best". They lost this customer's information. Additionally, I found navigating through the website and trying to develop a website using their methods and tools absolutely difficult and time-consuming. Each to his own.....I'll keep looking for a host that can accommodate my needs and not lose all my information that was developed already.
