with one of the video drivers. Unless Nvidia comes up with an update you are going to have continued problems using your multi-media environment. I'm not that familiar with the 310 but if it has it's own video I would revert and see if the FEs come back. If not, then the next step would be to get a different video card. If onboard video is not available then getting the new video card would be sooner, not later. You are aware, aren't you, that when Microsoft fixes one problem it creates 10 in its place

I have had a few fatal system errors in the last few months. My PC is Dell E310 media center edition xp pro 2005 with all the recent updates. It is pentium 4,2.80ghz dual processors with 2gig's of ram.I have had about 4 of these errors since I bought this PC last june 06,but 2 have been in the last 8 days. I sent the errors to microsoft after the pc rebooted it took me there and they said that video drivers are out dated and that dell currently has no fix for the problem but they are aware,Great huh!they said try to get new video drivers fron microsoft or dell and if this did not fix the problem then contact dell.I have been on both forums (MS & Dell)a guy on microsofts forum says it's a software problem with the video drivers in the media center part of the pc,not the video drivers from the card. I have a Nvidia 6200 Geforce 256mb gpu video card. The drivers that came on the cd with it(6.14.0010.110.26)would not work correctly,I called Nvidia and they had me download older drivers(6.14.0010.8421)because of a update that microsoft put out for XP makes the newest drivers not function correctly in XP. The 84.21 forceware drivers worked OK I guess at least the screen came on line, before it looked like I was in safemode with the 110.26 new drivers. Is there 2 different kinds of video drivers-software drivers for media center like the Intel 915 G/P/GV/PL/910GE chipset family, and the nvidia 84.21 forceware being hardware drivers? This is what someone is telling me on the windows forum. This is a long post please forgive me,there is no way to make it short. If this is wrong please tell me so.Dell only says go to nvidia and get new drivers but you see my problem there,I had to get the older ones for my system to work.I had to disable the Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express chipset onboard graphics to install the new card accordding to the instructions. It seems that these errors only happens when I am in the media center,It happened right after I got the PC last june, same error.I never really use it that much but now I have the Roxio EMC 9 suite which also has a media center built into it. It uninstalled the DMX Dell media experience and installed its own. This is what I was on when it crashed.I was watching a movie that I have on my EX WD My Book 250gig HDD. It's a shame that you can't even use the media center without a crash.I am open to any Ideas,Thanks for taking the time to read all this
