That's news to me.
However. since the soundbar has 3 HDMI inputs and a HDMI output to the TV why not run the PS3 to the soundbar to let it do the sound work and then the sound bar passes the video over to the TV?
That leaves 2 more inputs on the soundbar for the 4K player and something else.
Hey Guys,
I have the old fat PS3 with only one HDMI input. I just purchased the Sony HTST7 sound bar with 3 HDMI inputs and a Sony XBR75x850C TV with 3 HDMI inputs as well but I would like to run the PS3 directly to the sound bar bc it gets better sound that way. The problem is there is only one HDMI input on the PS3 and I NEED to run the video from PS3 to the TV. Is my only solution to use an optical cord from the PS3 to sound bar or is there some way to turn one HDMI into TWO without using the switch (bc the switch only lets you use one at a time). The reason I want HDMI more than optical is that I heard the sound bar trueHD sound sounds better with HDMI than optical. Is this true as well? If there is no way to get two HDMIs I may just purchase a Bluray player with multiple HDMIs, but I would like to avoid that if possible, especially because the 4K bluray players are probably coming out the end of this year and I want one for my 4K TV! Thanks for the help in advance!
